Hey readers,

Check out my recently published series, Maddy's Week at the Beach.  This seven book illustrated children's series shares fun family-based stories about learning at the beach.  Set in North Carolina, all seven books (one for each day of the week) include illustrations, pictures, glossaries and or fun facts and even companion poetry.  The series is great for readers of all ages especially for children 3 to 11 and adults who like to read with their kids.  Alliterative titles make the books even more fun for the children including: Mondays are for Mermaids; Tuesdays are for Turtles; Wednesdays are for Whales; Thursdays are for Thunderstorms; Fridays are for Fish; Saturdays are for Seashells and Sundays are for Sand Sculptures.  Each story has a special educational meaning such as the meaning of "Impossible" found in Mondays are for Mermaids.  The NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores carries the series as do book stores through the Crystal Coast.

Randy's Way, A Marine's Faith-based Journey with ALS was published in March 2018 and has been extremely well received.  Very different from The Bridge and Return to Emerald Isle mentioned below, this book is the memoir of  30 year ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) survivor Marine Major Randy Hebert who lives near me on Emerald Isle.  He and Kim, his wife of only 3 years when first diagnosed, met this terrible disease head on after Randy contracted it during the Gulf War.  Read how they serve as beacons of support and encouragement for others with any life challenge!  It is a fun and also serious read taking readers back to Randy's early childhood, sailing through his life as a Marine officer, and settling in on his now 30 years of being an awesome observer of life and faithful Christian!

If you haven't read The Bridge or Return to Emerald Isle, I invite you to find them as well.  Both YA novels (age 12-99) are available in paperback and e-book on Amazon.  They are also available at local stores throughout the NC Crystal Coast, in the greater Charlotte area, and on Amazon.  I enjoy weaving the stories through locales along the expanded Crystal Coast from Wilmington to New Bern focusing on Emerald Isle and helping those who have not been here to enjoy our beautiful area.

I provide visits to schools, writers groups, libraries, and other groups who might want to discuss how to write, edit and publish a book.  Over 100 organizations have taken advantage of this - email me at gilltp77@gmail.com if interested.

Have a great day!  Tom
